IAPG Chemical Working Group Safety Panel Hybrid Meeting 2027

February 17–18, 2027

The Interagency Advanced Power Group (IAPG) Chemical Working Group (CWG) Safety Panel Hybrid Meeting is scheduled for February 17–18, 2027, at the University of California San Diego (UC San Diego), in La Jolla, California. The virtual forum will be hosted through Microsoft Teams.

The meeting will be held in the Center for Memory and Recording Research (CMRR) auditorium.

Meeting Attendees/Guests – Please Review Carefully

Attendance is limited to U.S. persons – citizens or lawful permanent residents (LPRs), also known as permanent resident aliens (PRAs) or green card holders from the following categories:

1. U.S. Government Employees – Including Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignees.
2. Foreign Government Representatives – Only pre-approved representatives from NATO allied countries are eligible.
3. Captive Government Contractors – Those currently holding grants or contracts with a U.S. government agency, including academic institutions and both on-site and off-site performers.
4. Employees of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) – Only employees of the FFRDC are eligible, not employees of the administering entity. View the master list of FFRDCs.
5. Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Employees – Learn more about STRLs.
6. Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Employees.

Participation Requests

For new participants only, requests for participation by non-U.S. government employees must be submitted in writing to Giuseppe Di Benedetto and Tracey Cheek.

• January 6, 2027: Deadline for foreign government representatives.
• January 22, 2027: Deadline for U.S. government contractors and FFRDC employees.

Requests submitted after the applicable deadline will not be accepted.

Meeting Registration

Pre-registration is required for both in-person and virtual attendees.

The registration deadline is February 4, 2027.

During registration, please provide your full legal name as it appears on your government-issued photo identification.

Visitor Access

Upon arrival at UCSD, visitors will proceed to the Center for Memory and Recording Research for visitor badging.

Airport

The closest commercial airport to UCSD is San Diego International Airport (SAN), located approximately 14 miles (roughly a 20-to-30-minute drive) south of the main La Jolla campus.

Food Accommodations

While there is no registration fee, a $10 per person per day charge will be collected during online registration to cover the cost of beverages and snacks provided during the morning and afternoon breaks.

Lunch will be at your own expense. The Price Center is within walking distance of the meeting room and offers numerous dining options.

If your attendance plans change, please contact Renee O’Brokta to cancel your registration so we may avoid unnecessary charges.

Cancellation deadline: February 8, 2027. Refunds cannot be issued after this date.

Group Dinner

A no-host group dinner is planned for the evening of Wednesday, February 17, 2027. Charges will be billed individually. Please indicate during registration if you plan to attend.

Facility Tours

Tours of UCSD are scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2027. Please indicate during registration if you plan to participate. Tours are open to all registered participants.

Tracey Cheek with your presentation title. Please ensure that you can meet the presentation deadline of February 8, 2027, before requesting a time slot. Priority will be given to in-person presentations.

Presentations due February 8, 2027

Final presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe PDF format must be sent to Renee O’Brokta no later than COB February 8, 2027. All presentations must be submitted in advance for download to registered participants.
