Safety Panel

Provides an open and candid government-only forum to discuss and exchange information related to technical and safety issues involving batteries, fuel cells, and ultracapacitors used in government-wide applications. At present, the panel focusses mainly on primary, rechargeable, thermal and reserve batteries based on lithium chemistries ranging in size from small batteries for handheld C4ISR applications up to large batteries that provide vehicle/shipboard/aircraft power (milliwatts to megawatts). Areas of interest include both military and civilian uses of these devices.
