The Interagency Advanced Power Group (IAPG) Renewable Energy Conversion Working Group (RECWG) “Alternative Fuels” Technical Deep Dive Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2026.  The meeting is being held virtually in Microsoft Teams.

Meeting Goals

The Alternative Fuels Technical Deep Dive will gather experts from IAPG member agencies — the Army, Navy, Air Force, Department of Energy, NASA, and the Department of Transportation — to identify key opportunities, chemistries, and technologies in alternative fuel energy conversion.

Through this engagement, the community will identify common synthesis practices and challenges to build fruitful collaborations. Synthetic aviation fuels and hydrogen are more mature examples of alternative fuels, but the deep dive will also examine emerging options such as ammonia to provide a full landscape of opportunity.

The Alternative Fuels Technical Deep Dive will offer a forum for a cross-cutting review of current government research activities of interest to RECWG members within the IAPG member agencies. The IAPG strives to share information and increase the effectiveness of interagency research and development (R&D) programs in a wide realm of advanced power technologies.

Meeting Attendees – Please Review Carefully

Attendance at this meeting is limited to:

  1. U.S. government employees, including Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignees
  2. Captive advisory and assistance services (A&AS) government contractors — those currently holding grants or contracts with a U.S. government agency. This includes contractors employed at Department of Defense (DoD) Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratories (STRLs).
  3. Employees of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs). This applies only to employees of the FFRDC, not the administering entity. View the master list of FFRDCs.

Meeting Registration

Pre-registration is required.
