Pre-event Survey: 2025 MRE Forum Pre-event Questions

At the upcoming meeting, the Marine Energy Panel will refine our understanding of which applications have the greatest need for marine energy. With this information, the Panel will hold more focused discussions in the future. Starting with this broad pre-meeting survey, we aim to gather diverse perspectives on the ideal future state of marine energy utilization. The outputs of this meeting will then be used to inform a later, more detailed elicitation, which will be guided by specialists to generate specific, bounded use cases and requirements for leveraging ocean waves, tides, and currents to generate energy. This phased approach ensures that the final requirements are well-informed and aligned with both expert knowledge and the broader interests of federal stakeholders.
